It’s easy to refer to him simply as a recording artist or an MC but CRASH deSol is much more. He’s a take-no-prisoners entertainer with a big personality, alter-egos and an innate talent that has earned him the respect and the support of key music producers in his genre.
CRASH deSol was born in Inglewood and now resides in Riverside, California. His music fills the space between urban and popular music with a variety of tempos and some SoCal Latin influences. He considers the studio his second home and spends a lot of time recording; less concerned with a polished package or what others want from him, CRASH deSol is always looking for the next sound to inspire him to create something new and different.
“I think about music 24/7 and I love creating. It’s a way to capture my thoughts, my feelings and any adversity,” says CRASH.
Refreshingly, CRASH deSol is a new artist that doesn’t take himself too seriously. As a youth
he received accolades for his writing and continues to write poetry that often turns into short
stories or songs; this literary skill matched with his never-ending energy and openness to
become characters outside of himself, prove to be an impressive combination.
In 2010, CRASH deSol began recording with Kritical Productions and created a sound that eventually caught the attention of Fingazz of Streetlight Music. As a platinum producer, Fingazz is responsible for records and remixes for artists such as Beyonce, Snoop, and Baby Bash, among others. CRASH deSol is releasing of his debut single and video “Spanish Loca” in early 2011.
“The whole process of creating ‘Spanish Loca’ was a great experience because it came from
a single inspiration, which led to an idea that grew by bringing the talents of both Kritical and
Fingazz. Once he saw how I worked, Fingazz really got involved, helping with the video and
getting my career off the ground by introducing me to the right people,” says CRASH.
CRASH deSol approaches 2011 with a purpose and is working towards releasing an album on the heels of his debut single and with the support of key people in the industry.
